Me, my hobbies and my mom

Almost everybody has some kind of hobby. A hobby can be anything people like to do just for fun in their spare time. It can be collecting stamps or coins, reading, various sports, chess, painting, fashion, designing or chatting.

Some hobbies are allright, while others are worthless, even harmful. Think of all the people that have smoking as a hobby. Or is this a more a nasty habit? I for myself, I don’t smoke. I hate the smoke of cigarettes. Still some of my friends smoke. How can they? It costs a lot of money and they smell like an ash-tray all the time.

Anyway, different people have different hobbies. Anyone, rich or poor, old or young, sick or well, can follow the hobby he or she likes. As for me, I like physical sports. For example, I sometimes spend my time on sports like playing tennis or badminton, swimming or skating. If I had enough money I would like to climb mountains. But that is too expensive for our family. My dad is the only one who works and he doesn’t earn enough to let me climb mountains. He wants me to find a holiday job, but I like to sleep long and to do what I like during the holidays.

That’s why I play badminton a lot. I play it rather well. Badminton is not such an expensive sport. For the same reason I like skating. I can do that in our neighbourhood and it doesn’t cost me anything. Only the pair of skates, but I will get those for my birthday.

However, sometimes I enjoy gaming too much. At least, that is what my intelligent mother says. She says that stamp collecting is a more interesting hobby. That way I could learn about many things. As I look through the pages of the album, I will learn interesting details of foreign countries. And that would be very good for me. You see? Boring! Me and my mom, yeah what can I say, she knows best of course. But we don’t always agree ……… that’s a pity (for her).
